During gatherings with friends, the topic of egg freezing has become more mainstream conversation. I would hear the struggles of their journeys. Many people do extensive research matching the right doctor to insurance coverage. It is not a streamlined process.
I set out to create a mobile website for women ages 28-38 to seek out a clinic based on location that can help match user’s In-network insurance.
Partnering with a local business for developing a website is a process of compromise. I achieved the design balance I wanted of sophistication with touches of fun. Looking forward to see the website be live in the near future with repeat customer orders.
Focusing on career, learning, or travel goals
Not having discovered the perfect spouse for beginning a family
Health issues
Monetary difficulties, such as debt
Chasing other aims, like buying a home
In order to gain valuable insights and understand the consumers, I conducted a thorough competitive analysis of other fertility apps . To my avail, I noticed there wasn’t anything out there that I was similar to the idea I had in mind. This made me have to look at indirect websites that had specific search function that found doctors within a specific vicinity. This allowed me to compare and grasp what was working and not working in their application.

I elaborated on two task flows and one user flow. One task flow involves comparing clinics, a popular feature many participants expressed they wanted, often making their own spreadsheets to contrast clinics. Another crucial task flow for participants is reviewing feedback. Hence, the ability to read about other clients' experiences plays a significant role in selecting the suitable clinic.

Trust is an important factor when choosing a healthcare provider. Therefore, I wanted to convey support, reliability, & comfort.
Green represents health, freshness, lightness, vitality and nature. Sand goes well with green, mimics colors in nature and landscape. These colors illicit feelings of calmness and tranquility.
Introducing Eggie
A fertility mobile website that searches for fertility doctors in your area with your insurance. Users are able to compare clinics and read reviews to better select the clinic that fits them best.
User Testing
Total User Testing Participants: 6
Number of Tasks: 2
Duration: 1 hr
Goal: To test my assumptions of how users would navigate the app and if users would find the features useful
How: In person & through video share screen testing
Task 1
4/6 participants passed all of task
2/6 participants had trouble comparing 2 clinics
One participants took the meaning of "compare" wrong and thought to compare 2 clinics themselves rather than using the feature of comparing on the website
The second participant was too nervous and could not select the right clinics to compare despite reading the task over and over again.
Task 2
6/6 participants were able to write a review
All participants had trouble selecting a rating.
Continuous Improvement
Clinic Result Screen
Before
Map is small and fixed
List is fixed as well, cannot be hidden
After
Map is size of screen
List is able to be dragged up and down
Clinics are numbered on the map coinciding with the clinic on the list
This project was extensive and difficult to research. I feel a sense of accomplishment that in the future this could be applied to a real life application or website to help many women and families out with their fertility journey.
Future Considerations
Since this was completed in a 8 week sprint, there are certain things I wish I could have done differently
Have a bigger pool of user interviews
Greater number of participants for usability testing
Being able to include more features.
